This is a new unnoficial website dedicated to one of my favourite authors, the horror writer and artist Joseph Freeman. A list of his books is avialable, and a biography. In coming months I will be adding extra features such as pictures and articles and hopefully an interview! I hope you enjoy this site and check back soon for updates. Merry Christmas!

Biography:

Joseph Freeman has been writing and drawing all his life, though his education led him towards being a Psychiatrist (he is also a qualified fitness teacher and has worked as a personal trainer!), until his interest in the more unexplained and mysterious areas of life took over. His first book was 'Love Stories of the Undead' (published as J. Rattigan) and was very well reviewed and critically hailed in the UK, USA and many other countries. He followed it up later that year with the books 'Stranger in Paradise' and 'The Man Who Killed an Angel', though it would be 4 more years before his next collection of horror stories, time in which he wrote his first novel 'Those Left Behind', and dedicated to his studies.

'Ghosts Far From Subtle' showed an advance in his writing, and some truly terrifying and unusual stories, although the book had suffered at the hands of publishers who'd removed several longer stories also intended to be in the book. In following years Freeman was undergoing difficulties in a turbulent personal relationship and some dissillusionment with certain aspects of the horror scene, and lost his way for some time, becoming more interested in photography and artwork. Luckily for us he began writing short fiction again in 2006, and the following year after his divorce he completed a second novel called 'The Lost and The Lonely'.

Joseph Freeman is a very well cultured man! He has an I.Q. of 155! He likes art and good wine, is a good cook, drives a BMW,smokes cigars, enjoys travelling and horror and ghost stories and films. He has had many frightening ghostly experiences of his own! He wears lovely suits and lives with his girlfriend in Suffolk, England.

Is this site run by Joseph Freeman?

No, and unfortunately I cannot pass messages onto him. There is an official website, but that is currently out of order. If you keep a look out here though I will tell you when it is back online. He does have a My Space page though.

When is Joseph's next book out?

He should have two out in 2008! There is a book of his photography  'The Last Light of Day' and a collection of stories called 'This Is My Blood'
